    Mark Camstra

    Co-founder and Sr. Partner

    Mark is a co-founder of PONT and a former Partner at PwC, in the USA firm, he lives in Mexico focusing on Strategic Consulting and Corporate Finance. He has over 25 years of experience in cross-border M&A transactions, focusing on M&A, Corporate Finance, and Consulting. He is a former PwC Partner in the USA firm focusing on strategic consulting and corporate finance.

     

    He recently completed an important cross-border transaction involving the acquisition of a Mexican company by a French conglomerate and is one of three Partners spearheding a mega transaction between an Asian Conglomerate and a leading Mexican company.

    During his tenure at PwC, he spearheaded Business Transformation and Corporate Finance practice in China, executing numerous M&A Transactions and sale-side participation in various ADR-based IPOs in ASEAN countries and China. He also led grownd work for the foundation of the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Russian Federation, a project that he successfully replicated in Indonesia.

     

    Mark holds and M.A. in Foreign Affairs (China), from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies; and an MBA Finance, and a USC; BA Business/Spanish Literature, from Rollins College. Fluent in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Bahasa Indonesian, with proficiency in Russian. Mark brings a wealth of multicultural expertise to PONT. Mark leads our LATAM practice.

    Raul Fabre

    Co-founder and Sr. Partner

    Raul is a cofounder of PONT and a senior partner specializing in corporate finance, M&A, and technology. His expertise extends to both sell-side and buy-side cross-border transactions throughout the entire cycle of M&A.

     

    He recently completed an important cross-border transaction involving the acquisition of a Mexican company by a French conglomerate and is one of two Partners spearheading a mega cross-border transaction between an Asian Conglomerate and a leading Mexican company.

     

    As a former PwC Partner in the US Firm, he created wC Consulting in Russia, focusing on Corporate Finance, M&A, and strategic consulting, playing a pivotal role in the Mass Privatization Program, funded by the Clinton Administration, which included the privatization of thousands of medium-scale enterprises, including Regional Utilities, Manufacturing Plants, Regional Banks, Telecommunications Providers, and Wholesale Distributors. He led a team of SMEs, including regulatory, legal, and M&A advisors, consultants, and technology professionals. He led a multinational team that included regulatory, legal, and M&A advisors, consultants, and technology professionals.

     

    Raul's global experience includes working across the USA, Europe, Asia, and Latin America and leading top-tier corporate finance and strategic consulting organizations.

    Raul holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from Indiana University in Bloomington and a BSc In Industrial Engineering from The Metropolitan University in Mexico. He holds a Certificate in Business Negotiations from Yale University and a certificate in M&A from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaigninois (UIUC). He is fluent in English and Spanish with basic Russian.

    Jose Mendez

    Partner- Financial Sector and M&A

    Jose is a PONT strategic partner and expert in Investment Banking, Restructuring, Financing, Corporate Governance, and Investment Strategies.

    He is a former President of the Mexican Association of Stock Exchange Institutions,
    (AMIB). The AMIB is a trade union and self-regulatory representative body that
    associates and affiliates Brokerage Firms, Investment Fund Operators (mutual funds),
    and three money market brokerage companies (brokers). The AMIB certifies the
    powers and knowledge that executives who operate and promote securities with
    the investing public in Mexico must have.

    He also participated in the Board of the Mexican Stock Exchange as a special
    guest, the Executive Committee of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), the
    Executive Committee of the Foundation for Mexican Entrepreneurship (FUNDEMEX),
    the International Council of Securities Associations (ICSA), the Technical
    Committee of the Fuerza México Trust and the Governing Board of the Foundation
    for Financial Studies (FUNDEF).

     

    Jose has advised various Mexican companies in the end-to-end M&A process and has numerous connections in the industry; he is also an Independent Director, a member of the Audit Committee at Alto Casa de Bolsa, and a member of the Board of Governors of the Foundation for Financial Studies. Previously, he was a Director of Firmer a brokerage house and Banamex. He has spearheaded dozens of transactions.

     

    Jose holds an MBA from Colorado University and a specialization from the Institute of Banking and Finance. He is fluent in English and Spanish and is a PONT strategic partner based in Mexico.

    Eric Kern

    Strategic Partner

    Eric Kern, a strategic partner with PONT, boasts over three decades of diverse expertise encompassing investment banking, commercial banking, and consultancy. Throughout his career, he has engaged with a spectrum of enterprises, from fledgling startups to Fortune 500 behemoths, advising business owners and executives across the manufacturing, distribution, services, and technology sectors.

    With an adept comprehension of the industry landscape, Eric orchestrates transactions leveraging both domestic and international resources, endeavoring to maximize value for his clientele. His portfolio includes facilitating premium business sales and orchestrating mergers and financing endeavors aimed at enhancing or realizing value for stakeholders.

     

    Eric's track record speaks volumes about his dedication and prowess, earning him recognition among the top echelons of his peers in two Fortune 500 corporations. He holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, where he was honored by faculty for exemplifying intellect, ethical fortitude, integrity, and allegiance.

     

    Additionally, Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Southern Illinois University, where he was singled out as the outstanding finance student by the faculty. During his academic tenure, he was a prominent member of the university's varsity baseball team. Beyond his corporate endeavors, Eric has imparted his knowledge as an adjunct professor of business strategy and economics to both undergraduate and graduate students. He holds the Series79 Investment Banking Representative qualification through FINRA.

    Mitch Kemp

    Business Partner - M&A ArtificiaI Intelligence 

    Mitch is a seasoned Technology and M&A Professional, an expert in AI and ML. He leads the development of EMBER, a PONT cutting-edge deal-sourcing platform tailored for Investment Banking. 

     

    As a Vice President at Oracle he played a crucial role in the integration team responsible for overseeing 50+ M&A acquisitions. As a PwC Director, he spearheaded numerous initiatives to organize and facilitate the preparation and sale of premier companies, focusing on sectors such as Oil and Gas, Automotive, Financial Services, and Manufacturing.

     

    Currently under development, EMBER's objective is to assist those seeking acquisitions, investments, or venture capital. It’s especially useful for M&A experts, private equity firms, and investment bankers looking for potential deals or competitors. EMBER uses artificial intelligence to simplify the search for relevant companies, allowing users to find what they're looking for with just a single example. This innovative approach makes identifying M&A targets more straightforward, making EMBER an essential tool for Investment Banking professionals.

     

    Kemp's entrepreneurial spirit has led him to purchase three companies and engage in various innovative joint ventures and startups.

     

    Mitch is also the CEO of RealTime-AIML, a startup dedicated to developing cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technology for enhancing mergers and acquisitions.

     

    Mitch holds an MSc. in Computer Sciences and a Master's in Computer Management from the University of Maryland.

    Carlos Roberto Fabre

    Partner - Business Development, Sourcing, VC, PE & Deal Flow.

    Carlos Roberto is a seasoned professional with a wealth of expertise in marketing, specializing in executive outreach within the realms of M&A, Venture Capital, and Private Equity.

     

    With over eleven years of dedicated commitment, he has cultivated a profound understanding and proficiency in this field, combining also hands-on sales, account management, and business development.

     

    His expertise includes effectively reaching investors and driving deal flow by leveraging industry connections and specialized platforms for marketing, social media, and direct outreach to decision-makers and company owners. Roberto leads the development and execution of marketing campaigns aimed at connecting Buy-Side and Sell-Side companies as well as VE and PE investors. He adeptly utilizes specialized platforms such as Inven and PitchBook to identify and qualify potential acquisition targets, investors, and interested buyers, collaborating closely with Senior Partners to support due diligence processes and analyze deal flow metrics.

     

    Carlos Roberto is currently enrolled in Columbia's one-year postgraduate executive program and is completing an advanced certification program in Venture Capital and Private Equity. He holds a postgraduate certificate in Investment Banking from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), a postgraduate Certificate in Venture Capital and Private Equity from Bocconi University in Italy. Roberto is also completing his MBA in Enterpreneourship at Baylor University and holds a BSBA in Marketing and Enterpreneourship from Pace's University, Lubin School of Business, a two-year postgraduate certification in Advertising from the Miami Ad School, and a certificate in Industrial Design from the Scuola Politecnica di Milan, Italy.     Jorge Fabre

    Co-founder and Sr. Partner

    Jorge has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive sector. His experience includes multiple successful ventures, including founding a Mexican network of dealerships as a partner in a major Fleet Leasing and Car Rental automotive enterprise. He has also founded two commercial companies focusing on the import and export of electronic products distributed in Mexico.

     

    Jorge has been instrumental in sourcing and negotiating mandates in Mexico, including a mega strategic cross-border transaction involving the sale of a leading Latin American organization in the Automotive sector, a premier Pharmaceutical company, and various near-shore Call Centers.

     

    Jorge leverages his vast experience and executive connections to bring into PONT sell-side and buy-side automotive and other industry clients and participates actively in major M&A transactions. His extensive industry network encompasses major car manufacturers and diverse industry stakeholders. He also maintains a wide-reaching network across industries and family-owned businesses in Mexico.

    Jorge's education at the Universidad Iberoamericana focused on Business and entrepreneurship. He speaks English and Spanish. Jorge is based in Mexico and is a leader in PONT Mexico.

    Jean Pierre Fabre

    Business Development Director

    Jean Pierre is a director with 20 years of experience in sales and a focus on the automotive, industrial and sports sectors. He leads PONT Mexico's sales and business development team.

     

    Before joining PONT he was an executive at Ford Motor Company, where he earned the Quality One award among companies in various countries. He is an entrepreneur having founded various successful companies in diverse sectors, including consumer goods, financials, and sports, where he held positions as CEO and designed and executed various exit strategies.

     

    As a CEO he has detailed knowledge of financial management and operations in industrial companies. He is also an expert in Mexican Labor Laws and Labor Relationships. He has substantial experience in manufacturing of industrial products.

     

    Jean Pierre holds a certificate in Business Negotiations from Yale, an MBA from ISEC, and a B.A. from Universidad Chapultepec. He speaks English and Spanish.
